June: The Month of Longest Days

June is the month with the longest daylight hours of the year. Around the summer solstice, Tokyo sees the sun rise at 4:26 a.m. and set at 7:00 p.m. In addition, there’s a period known as “twilight”—the softly lit time before sunrise and after sunset—which lasts for about an hour and a half.

Take June 21st, the day of the summer solstice, for example.
Morning twilight begins as early as 2:37 a.m., and evening twilight doesn’t end until 8:49 p.m. By 3 a.m., the sky is already starting to lighten, and there’s still a faint glow in the sky around 7:30 p.m. 🌅✨

According to the calendar, summer officially begins in June 🌿
The sun shines longer, temperatures rise, and everything just feels a little brighter—your mood included.

With all this extra daylight, it’s the perfect time to hop on a train 🚆 and take a trip somewhere a bit farther than usual. This season invites you to explore.
