On the 27th of this month, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that the rainy season had ended in southern and northern Kyushu, Shikoku, Chugoku, and Kinki regions ☀️
What’s more, this was a record-fast ending, about three weeks earlier than usual!
The skies over western Japan have already turned fully into summer colors 🌻

Meanwhile, the Kanto region has not yet finished its rainy season.
That said, there are many sunny days, and temperatures sometimes feel like midsummer heat 🌞
However, due to humid air, sudden rain showers and thunderstorms still require careful attention ⚡

🛰️ At Ima-Tetsu, we deliver real-time updates on the “now” sky conditions at each train station in Tokyo, based on observation data.
Because it shows pinpoint, up-to-the-minute weather that is hard to see on regular weather apps, it’s useful when you’re unsure whether to take an umbrella 🎒🌂

🚉 Different skies at each station — An example from the JR Saikyo Line

Around 18:20–18:30 on June 27, 2025, along the JR Saikyo Line, there were notable differences in weather.

At Ukima-Funado Station, a strong rain of 8.8 mm (spatially interpolated value) fell within 10 minutes ☔

Meanwhile, at other stations on the same line, no precipitation was recorded.

Even on the same line, at the same time, weather conditions can be completely different.
