How to Turn On Location Services

Using Favorite Stations

ImaTetsu uses your location to show the station nearest to you. If location services are off, follow the steps below to turn them on for your device.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Privacy & Security > Location Services.
3. Turn Location Services on (green).
4. On the same screen, scroll down and tap Safari Websites.
5. Select While Using the App.
6. Reopen ImaTetsu in Safari, and tap Allow when prompted for your location.

If you tapped "Don't Allow" before, the prompt may not appear again. In that case, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, remove the ImaTetsu entry, then visit the site again.

Android (Chrome)

1. Open Settings > Location and turn Location on. (On some devices: Settings > Security & privacy > Location.)
2. Open Chrome, tap the menu (⋮) > Settings > Site settings > Location, and turn it on.
3. Open ImaTetsu, and tap Allow when prompted for your location.

If the site is already blocked, tap the lock icon at the left of the address bar > Permissions > Location, then reset or allow it.

PC (Chrome)

1. Open ImaTetsu.
2. Click the lock icon at the left of the address bar.
3. Set Location to Allow.
4. Reload the page.

Windows: also turn the OS setting on via Settings > Privacy & security > Location.
Mac: allow your browser under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

Receiving Weather Alerts

To receive push notifications such as weather alerts for your favorite stations, you need to allow notifications. Follow the steps below for your device.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

1. Open ImaTetsu in Safari (not Chrome or another browser).
2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, then tap Add to Home Screen.
3. Open ImaTetsu from the ImaTetsu icon added to your Home Screen.
4. Log in, then turn on Receive notifications under Notification settings on My Page.
5. Tap Allow when prompted, then check Weather alerts for favorite stations and save.

On iOS, notifications work only when opened from a Home Screen icon added via Safari (iOS 16.4 or later required). Even if you normally use Chrome, set up notifications in Safari. If notifications don't arrive, check Settings > Notifications > ImaTetsu.

Android (Chrome)

1. Open ImaTetsu in Chrome and log in.
2. Turn on Receive notifications under Notification settings on My Page.
3. Tap Allow when prompted, then check Weather alerts for favorite stations and save.

If notifications are already blocked, tap the lock icon at the left of the address bar > Permissions > Notifications and set it to allow.

PC (Chrome / Edge)

1. Open ImaTetsu and log in.
2. Turn on Receive notifications under Notification settings on My Page.
3. Click Allow when prompted, then check Weather alerts for favorite stations and save.

Mac: check System Settings > Notifications. Windows: check Settings > System > Notifications to make sure browser notifications are enabled.
