Every year around this time, swallows build a nest on top of a security camera at JR Shinanomachi Station.

In a corner of the station platform, the baby swallows were poking their heads out energetically. The parent swallows were busily flying back and forth, bringing food again and again—proof that life was being nurtured inside the nest.
That the swallows can raise their young so peacefully in such a busy place is thanks to the quiet care and attention of local people and station staff.
