Earth belongs to the solar system, and the solar system is nestled within the Milky Way galaxy.
That’s right — the “Milky Way” we often mention is actually the name of the galaxy we call home.

In urban areas, it’s often hidden by city lights. But on clear summer nights, the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye, stretching across the sky in a luminous band.
Within that band is a particularly bright and dense region known as the “star cloud.”
This glow marks the direction toward the center of our galaxy.

And now, for a limited time, you can witness this breathtaking sight live from Imafuji — a project streaming real-time images from the summit of Mt. Fuji.
On clear nights, the all-sky camera captures the Milky Way in vivid detail, giving you the feeling of gazing up into space from the mountaintop.

At an altitude of 3,776 meters, this glowing river of light feels like the gateway to the universe.
To see our galaxy from the highest point in Japan is an unforgettable experience.

Take a train to where the stars shine bright.
Look up at your journey’s end — and realize:
“This is the galaxy I belong to.”
Just that shift in perspective might turn an ordinary trip into something extraordinary.
