On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, temperatures exceeded 40°C at 14 locations across Japan—
the highest number ever recorded in the country’s observation history.
Among them, Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture reached a scorching 41.8°C,
setting a new all-time record for the highest temperature in Japan.
This is truly a life-threatening level of heat.
