On Tuesday, June 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., localized heavy rainfall exceeding 8 mm (spatially interpolated value) over a 10-minute period was observed at stations along the Chūō Line, including Ogikubo, Nishi-Ogikubo, and Kichijōji.

In contrast, many nearby stations recorded 0 mm of precipitation (spatially interpolated value) during the same time period, highlighting significant variations in weather conditions between stations.

Such localized heavy rainfall events are often difficult to capture with broad-area weather forecasts, underscoring the importance of site-specific weather observations.

With “Ima-Tetsu,” real-time weather data is available at the station level, enabling more detailed and localized monitoring. We encourage you to use this service for your daily commutes and to stay informed of potential weather-related risks.
